Half-Masked

For a while, Half-Masked was known as “Phantom-Monkey-8″, which is my hotmail address. Yes, I know I am the antithesis to creativity. -_-;

The comic also alternated between drawn and sprite comics. I usually tried to do as much of the characters and backgrounds myself, but the workload is just ridiculous compared to drawing. Spriting requires a lot of precision and finesse that aren’t really needed to draw in a simple, cartoony style. Which is why sprite comics have pretty much been phased out later on in the archives(although once in a blue moon, they make a re-appearance). I also got tired of how stiff the character’s sprites looked, but the thought of the workload required to make more fluid poses filled me with a sense of dread I rarely feel.

The rhino is the only part of this comic I didn’t have a hand in making. It’s from a Konami game about the little dinosaur dude you could play as in Tekken 3. Gon? I think that’s his name. I really like the background, even though I’m still not even sure what it’s supposed to be, or where it could be for that matter. A space factory/mansion?
