Half-Masked: 023-I Can Draw Boobs Now
At about the time I received Dragon Quest VIII as a christmas present, I became somewhat infatuated with the art stylings of Akira Toriyama. I like how he’s able to make simple designs, and then throw in tons of little details and lines without making his characters seem cluttered.
I should also point out that this had nothing to do with that ridiculous, never-ending constipation-marathon that is Dragonball Z.
While I was never quite obsessed with his style, I did seek to learn from it, and I still admire it now that my stuff has veered into a different category altogether. I had to stop drawing with inspiration from his work in mind, however, as it took damn near a week for me just to draw these guys. Which is why the background is so awful.
For the record, those are indeed the very first boobs I was ever able to draw that looked even remotely boob-like. Now I draw them every day in a masturbatory mad-frenzy.
